I have installed pre3 on a Redhat 7.1 box (have been running 2.08 on a 6.2 box for a
while). I manage to get an IP address, do the NFS mount etc, but the last message on
the terminal is "Warning: unable to open an initial console". There is no message
about doing init=3 or the like and no panic either. gdm is running on the server and I
do allow remove connections.
