look into "kdmrc", there you'll find:
-----------------------------------------------
[Xdmcp]
Enable=false
Xaccess=/var/X11R6/lib/xdm/Xaccess
Xwilling=/var/X11R6/lib/xdm/Xwilling
-----------------------------------------------
change it to
Enable=true
and restart kdm
Try to pick the right file:
/etc/opt/kde2/share/config/kdm/kdmrc
/opt/kde2/share/config/kdm/kdmrc
/opt/kde2/share/config/SuSE/config/kdmrc
/opt/kde2/share/config/kdmrc
what a mess! :-(
