I have been running LTSP for several months at home.
I have installed the ltsp sound package, but moved the LD_PRELOAD and
AUDIOSERVER lines to XSession and got kdm to only serve that version of
the script to remote terminals. Anyway it all works pretty well except
for the following programs....
Ximian desktop (doorman crashes)
Word Perfect 8.0 Segmentation Fault
Crossover plugin.. Can't send the sound remotely.
VMWare (as above)
I have experimented with the ESound Daemon, which works for some
programs like xine, but esddsp vmware brings up a complaint about not
being able to load libesd or something similar.
If I take out the LD_PRELOAD and AUDIOSERVER entries these programs
work normally.
Does anyone know any solutions?
Also, I have to run Ximian with the gmc filemanager as nautilus crashes
when run remotely and then get's restarted by gnome. The effect of this
is that the input focus disappears, the background and desktop icons
keep appearing and dissappearing.
Any ideas?
