Hi Jim (since you'll probably be the one to answer this),
Where is the code that handles the auto-probing for NICs on the DC's? In
other words, if I wanted to use it somewhere else, where would I tell a
developer to go to 'borrow' it?
The reason I ask is, I am experimenting with a new Distro (Gentoo,
www.gentoo.org), and their initial installation (boot-CD) could use that
functionality.
I am offering to pay one of their developers to add support for Gentoo for
LTSP, so I can use it in my next Server config.
This is a very interesting distro. It has the potential for d/l an ISO
image, boot it up and walk away, and come back to a fully functioning Server
(or workstation or whatever) installation, with everything (kernel, X,
KDE/GNOME, etc etc) compiled and optimized for your system.
