Forget the XF86CONFIG_FILE option and try this: X_MODE_800x600 = 62.10 800 900 1000 1100 600 700 800 900 -hsync -vsync
This the only option I use and it works fine for me. > Hi, > > Can anybody help configuring X in a diskless ltsp VMware station? > what I did so far > > 1: In lts.conf > > > [virtual] > DNS_SERVER = 10.1.1.1 > XSERVER = XF86_VMware > XF86CONFIG_FILE = XF86Config-4.vm > X4_BUSID = "PCI:0:15:0" > X_MODE_0 = 800x600 > LOCAL_APPS = N > USE_NFS_SWAP = N > SWAPFILE_SIZE = 64m > RUNLEVEL = 5 > > XF86Config-4.vm is in /opt/ltsp/i386/etc and was ripped from a vmware > distro > > what I did was > $ mount -o loop -t iso9660 /usr//usr/lib/vmware/isoimages/linux.iso > /mnt/iso/ > $ tar -zxvf /mnt/iso/vmware-linux-tools.tar.gz > $cd vmware-linux-tools/ > $cp XF86Config-4.dist /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/XF86Config-4.vm > $cp cp XF86_VMware /opt/ltsp/i386/usr/X11R6/bin/ > > the resulting XF86_Config, built at boot time has an error in line 48 > (sub section ...) when "Section ..." expected and a warning about a > module it does not find ... > > I know this is a *very* bad hack but I really would appreciate some help > ;-) > > Cheers > > /Patrick > > > > > _____________________________________________________________________ > Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
