Do you use a customized kernel? If so, I asume you must compile in at least ATA/IDE/MFM/RLL support and you will probably also want to compile in ENHANCED IDE/.... disk/... > I'm also interested in your experiences with > 8MB-RAM Terminals and with swap over NFS with many > Terminals. I have yet only experiences with one client 8Mb swapping over NFS at 10 Mbit. But I would say that there is a *lot* to gain by using a customized kernel. My experiments with minimalistic kernels are almost done, and you can get a .config for 2.4.9 with the NFS-swapping patch at http://sociologi.cjb.net/ltsp/minimal_1.0.cfg N.B. It does not include the ATA stuff mentioned above, nor initrd, so you must compile in drivers for your NIC. Since I have mostly older terminals, with 10Mbit ISA cards, and lot of small harddisks, I too would be interested in a local swap patch to ltsp. -- Hans Ekbrand
