I have an SCO box with openserver 5.0.4 ID: 192.168.0.2
a Linux box with RedHat 7.0.2 ID: 192.168.0.254
on the Linux box an LTSP work station. ID: 192.168.0.1

All these boxes are recent systems with pentium from 450mhz
and up.

I've set runlevel to 3.

When I try to telnet from the work station to the Linux server
I get a prompt login.

When I try to telnet from the work station to the Sco server
it is very slow to get 'connect to 192.168.0.2
then escape character is '^]<
and then after 2 or 3 minutes I get the Sco Login.

When I try to telnet from the Linux server to the Sco server
it is fast to get 'connect to 192.168.0.2 and escape character is '^]
and then after 2 or 3 minutes I get the Sco Login.

The Linux system and the work station were used as
Windows computer and the relation to the Sco box was
Telnet using NETTERM and on this configuration the
SCO prompt was coming at the first hit.

Why is it so long to get the sco Login prompt wit the LTSP
configuration?

Michel
