Hi, I'm trying to recicle an old computer and the ltsp project seems to be the easiest way to do it :-)
Unfortunately I get this message: NE*2000 ethercard probe at 0x300: 00 00 f4 c0 c4 8a eth0: NE2000 found at 0x300, using IRQ 5 Running dhclient NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out ERROR! No dhcpcd-eth0.info file Notwithstanding the "transmit timed out" on the server I see the dhcp requests: [at boot with etherboot] dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.12 to 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.1.12 (192.168.1.10) from 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.1.12 to 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 [while running dhclient] dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.12 to 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.12 to 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.12 to 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.1.12 to 00:00:f4:c0:c4:8a via eth0 One detail: the "ne" module could not autoprobe the irq of the network card, so I had to specify it in option-129. I also tried with ltsp_kernel-3.0.1 but with it it wouldn't even consider the irq option, so I'm back to ltsp_kernel-3.0.3. Any hint?
