        convert is your friend.
xwd -nobdrs -out $HOME/SCREENDUMPFILE; convert $HOME/SCREENDUMPFILE ps:-

the previous line grabs a screen selected by a mouse click, dumps it into
the file SCREENDUMPFILE in your home directory and converts the dump file
into postscript output. choose output you want. piece of cake. julius
