Yes. Well, here's an example. Martin County has a Linux server. There is an LJ4M Plus in their office. There is a print queue on Martin County's Linux server. The StarOffice queue connects to the LJ4M Plus's queneon Martin County's Linux server. (all of this is about two hours from where I am). They can print from any application, including StarOffice, to their printer, however, they cannot switch between paper trays. I think that part of what we are seeing is 10 year old printers but part of it is most likely our set up as well.
- Printer one floor above me (HP4M Plus) works fine - Printers in County 1 work fine (including HP4M Plus) - Printer in County 2 pulls from manual feed tray by default (HP4M Plus) - Printer in Martin - will not pull from manual feed tray at all, updated firmware, possibly damaged in lightening strike (HP4M Plus) David Johnston wrote: > > Janyne Kizer wrote: > > David Johnston wrote: > > > how do your local Star Office setups connect to the printer (directly to > > > the printer, via the server's spooler)?
