EPSON are linux-friendly. (I purchase epson printers and scanners
rather than cannon/other because of their ilinux support).
Windowz shared printers show the status-monotor stuff across the
network.
Ask EPSON.
Try tcpdump to watch the messages and reverse engineers the info.
