I may have missed something on this post, so excuse me for just jumping in here.
If you _do_ have a serial mouse, then you may need to reinstall ltsp_core or
ltsp_kernel. I had a similar problem with terminals that had serial mice.
The files for the serial modules were missing, and when I reinstalled the
package they were there. I cant remember which package it was, but I found
the solution in the mailing list archive. (which is highly helpful I must say)
