I had the same symptoms with the mini-ITX EPIA box - but only omce. I have been using it constantly for about 2 weeks with no recurrence of the problem since the 1st time. Prior to that I had also lost the mouse pointer entirely, again only once.
It leaves a feeling of insecurity.
