    I'd skip any ideas of "local swap"; remember that his machines will probably be 
pretty new, and the 16M needed to run a local machine's apps would get lost inside the 
typical 168-pin memory- they're probably 64M each.  What, are they cracking RC5 or 
something?  Would you WANT them running something so large, on the individual 
workstations?  This is a school; if they use any swap, they're probably doing 
something you don't want'em to.

    Put at least 1G of ram on the server. 256 was skimpy on a 12-user system- it won't 
work with 'explorers' on a 28-node system...
