Thanks to Robert Apodaca, I got through my dhcp troubles.

Now, X tells me it can't find XF86_SVGA. My lts.conf file says

XSERVER            = XF86_SVGA

I have a Trident 975 video card that works with the XF86_SVGA X server. I
tried changing that line to

XSERVER            = auto

and X starts, but I get a black screen that occasionally flickers. I guess
its choosing an X server that can't drive my video card. After reading the
docs on the XFee86 web page, I changed the line to

XSERVER            = trident

but I got the same results as with 'auto'.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Gary
