Hi joey,

Thanks for your information.

I don't have a Mac nor PowerPC running. I just came across the website of yellowdoglinux.com and the Boxer introduced there. I expect to collect some more information in this respect before I start to move. It is wide spread that Mac is better in performance on graphic editing than PC but I have no experience.

Anyway lot of thanks for your response.

as for performance, well.. that depends. its not really as easy as
comparing redhat to yellowdog, because what you are really comparing is ppc
to x86. big difference. and in the server market ppc has been a big
performer!

what particular ppc are you running, and in what comparision would the 'pc'
be running?

Subject: [Ltsp-discuss] PowerPC and YellowDogLinux

Hi all folks,

Any folk on the list has experience using PowerPC and running
YellowDogLinux on it. What about its performance in comparison with
running RedHat or Mandrake on normal PC. Can LTSP run on YellowDogLinux?

Kindly advise. Thanks in advance.

Stephen Liu
