Klaus,
I think you will be able to use any Braille device that will work with
your base distribution.  I've heard several references to Braille
devices with Red Hat, for example.

The exact steps needed to make it work with the terminals will depend on
the Braille device.  The first step is to make it work with your server;
once you've done that, you're 90% done.
