VNC should be able to sort the problem of the remote connections, but I'd be interested to see if anyone has a web LTSP solution - maybe a Java app?

The future situation: Another party of remote sites want the same as above but don't want to pay to much (it's a non profit NGO), and were more then pleased that we proposed to look at an Opensource/Linux solution. I'm the local Opensource advocate so I was pleased as well. :-) The way we think it should work is that the remote sites have a xDSL connection to the internet and thru VPN tunneling connect to our LTSP server(s) with dumb clients. We have a 2Mbit SDSL line at our site. I know it works for W2K terminal services (no citrix) because I control a few machines from home that way, and the speed is workable considering the overhead of W2K. The question is, did we propose something that can't be realised? Should we tell the client it's a "no go"? Anybody with experience in this matter?
