Pedro, I'm not sure I understand the question correctly, but I think you are asking how did I stop the users from accessing the Internet from the Catalogs.
If that is the question, I simply used a firewall to stop all traffic except traffic to and from the IPs of the Library catalogs that I wanted the patrons to have access to. This would not be an effective solution in a situation where you want to give people access to most sites on the Net, but not all. In that case you'd want to use something like SquidGuard.
