I had the LTSP server working on the corporate network with a second DHCP (corporate) server. I am wanting to take the server to a trade show for demonstrations which means no corporate DHCP server to compete with. Also no corporate DNS server etc.
I changed the server host name to GWG and the server IP to 10.1.1.68 (from 10.1.1.66) and I think I made all the needed changes in /etc/dhcpd.conf. When the client tries to boot, several pages of good stuff scroll by then I get this: Setting up loopback device Building the XF86CONFIG file Building the start_ws script Starting syslogd /tmp/start_ws: /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3: No such file or directory /tmp/start_ws: /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3: No such file or directory /tmp/start_ws: /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3: No such file or directory /tmp/start_ws: /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3: No such file or directory /tmp/start_ws: /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3: No such file or directory /tmp/start_ws: /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3: No such file or directory /tmp/start_ws: /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3: No such file or directory /tmp/start_ws: /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3: No such file or directory /tmp/start_ws: /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3: No such file or directory ... and so on. (please note, the above was keyed in by hand) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated George ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine.
