Obviously you would have to automatically edit the files during installing. Somebody has suggested pam_<something> for this. Also have a look at how vendors do it. When I clicked on the icon of the RH supplied version of OO, it ran a short install before firing up.
This is *ix so there is always a way.
So should I just download the source code from (x) and then simply read it?
pam... hmm.. Unfortunetaly I'm not familiar with it.
