Julien, on most UNIX system this is controlled by /etc/securetty file. The entries in it, one per line, specify which tty devices are allowed root login. My /etc/securetty on HP-UX system has one line only: /dev/console, that takes care of it. I've just tried it on my test ltsp server and i can still log in as root! drat! now i want to know how to disable it too. julius
