one of the major show-stoppers we've had with LTSP-4 is the problem of the latest XFree86 not properly supporting the MediaGX chipset that is used on the Jammin-125's. We really want the latest, because of the support it adds for additional chipsets. I finally got that issue fixed, and I'm now working on finishing the kernel building in the LBE. Eric Harrison (Of k12ltsp fame) and I have been working pretty hard to make sure we cover all the bases here, and it's looking pretty good. The XFree86 team has scheduled a release of XFree86 4.4.0 on Dec 15th. So, Eric and I have agreed that as soon as that has happened, we'll incorporate the official XFree86 4.4 into LTSP-4 and K12ltsp. So, what this means is that our tentative release date for both LTSP-4 and k12ltsp v4.0 is Wednesday, December 17th. My short term goal is to get ltsp-4 beta-2 out this weekend, for everybody to play with it. If you can't wait that long, feel free to grab the latest from cvs and build it. Sorry for the extremely long release cycle for LTSP-4, but it turned out that setting up a build envrionment to build ALL of ltsp from sources is a much bigger job than I bargained for. But, it's all worth it.
