i am having D-link dfe 538TX network card, i want boot-rom for that, so which number boot-rom can i have. Also, what is the procedure for writing boot-rom. Actually i am having rom programmer (connected to the pc), now what i think is, if i download the .zrom image for my card from rom-o-matic, and copy this image to my card, it is should work, (i think so), so am i right or wrong. plz tell me. I am using Winbond-W27c512-45 for my card.

Rom-o-Matic lists an entry for dfe538 with the PCI ID 1186:1300. To verify that this matches your card, use lspci in a running linux system - it should show one entry of class [0200 network] with this PCI ID.
Using 27c512 probably is OK. Read the wiki please.
