Hi everyone

Is it possible to implement a solution of LTSP in an environment where a LTSP server in different subnet(192.0.X.X) while the client has different subnet(192.1.X.X)?

Will appreciate for any kind of HOWTO.

Thanks and regard

First of all make sure you want to use those adresses. They are *not* from the "private" range, only 192.168.** are private.

This is possible. I assume there is one router PC or device between the two subnets (they are physically separated), else you could run into trouble...
You'll need a dhcp server on the clients' subnet that gives them the addresses and the router to the ltsp server. Then specify next-server <ip_of_ltsp_server>; and setup the /etc/exports file of your ltsp server to export the appropriate directories (/opt/ltsp/i386, others for swap or home as of your requirements). Rest should just be done as regular logic thinking tells you (and the manuals, of course).

If you need further assistance, feel free to ask.
