Got interesting request from a client today. They already got a AD server in place. Can I authenticate my LTSP users with the existing AD?
Its some time ago, that I finished my support for Windows. AD was quiet new in these days. All I remember is that AD supports LDAP. Although as usal with MS there were a few incompatibilities with non-MS systems, it has been used somehow for interoperability. So the question is now, if LTSP supports LDAP, or more precisly if your server supports LDAP;

Btw. since this question boils down to a UNIX-Windows Integration on the serverside, may be Samba is the right answer?

HtH a bit, Ingo.
