hi,
attached toos (pse give me ur mail) should help u to flash the chip (i ve
used it with a 32mb doc
in an igel etherterminal)
do as follows
format a dos floppy an copy the atteched files to it
power of ther terminal
take the doc-chip out of the socket (do not turn it around on reinsertion,
this will distray the chip!!!!!!)
attach a floppy drive to the mainboard
power on ther terminal (terminal will boot from floppy because harddrive SOC
is missing)
re-insert gently ther DOC
and type putimage rtl8139.lzdsk (boot-immage from fedora LTSP for
realtek8138)
reboot the terminal ( look for ther NIC address of the network card, and
complete ur dhcpd.conf on ur server)
in case of redhat or fedora: service dhcpd restart
and ....... ?

ps
the DOS may be pulled out and reinserted without damage while the unit is
powered on.
