When I run "ll /opt/ltsp4/i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/de" I get
this:
-r--r--r--    1 root     root         5975 Dec 16  2003
/opt/ltsp4/i386/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/de

Do you get the same?
