Thanks Veerapuram, I am now able to boot but cannot bring up the X-login screen. I get past it if i set the 'SCREEN_01' to shell, i can see:
Inside of /etc/screen.d/shell tty= /dev/vc/1 bash-2.05b# But when 'SCREEN_01' is set to startx, it goes blank. Any suggestions and help is higly appreciated. -John --- Veerapuram Varadhan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi John, > > Did you check as to whether your kdm or gdm is > running or not? > > Since, ltsp is not able to find any (k/g)dm to > connect to, its > failing... atleast hope so :) > > and > > > syslogd: cannot write to remote filehandle > > on192.168.0.9:514 > > this can be solved by adding "-r" to the "syslogd > options" in > the /etc/sysconfig/syslog script and do a restart, > in the server. > > HTH, > > V.
