I have been using Microsoft Services fo Unix 2.0 for years to host the NFS 
files for my ltsp clients.  I recently upgraded to SFU 3.5 (Which is a free download.  
I think that it is based on GPL software?).  
        With the new version of SFU, I had a problem with connectivity between my Suse 
8.2 server and the Windows NFS server.  I could mount the NFS share, but 
intermittantly issuing the "ls" command at the root of the NFS share caused my Suse 
server to lock up.  The Suse server still responded to pings, but did not respond to 
mouse, keyboard, or ssh.  Meanwhile the Microsoft NFS server continued working as if 
nothing had happened.  I could not find any errors related to this in 
/var/log/messages.  
        I think that I have resolved this issue by removing the advanced user and 
group mappings that I had setup in SFU NFS server (PCNFS).  In the security of the NFS 
shares, I have checked the checkbox for allow root access.  Everything seems to be 
working, but I would like to know if anyone has insight into my problem and the 
possible resolution.  I am still doing something wrong or is there a better way to do 
this?
