Ingo, DId you set 'DISABLE_ACCESS_CONTROL = Y' in the lts.conf file ?
By default, the Xserver will only allow connections from client programs running on the LTSP server. SO, to run a program on the thin client, and have it display on the thin client, you need to disable access control.
