Hello, Does anyone have any ideas on how I can provide different printer lists to different individuals on my LTSP clients? For example, I'd like user A to be able to see printers 1,3 and 5 in their list of available printers and be able to choose printer 3 as their default. Then I'd like user B to be able to see printers 1,4 and 6 and choose printer 4 as their default. Is this possible??
We are currently using a cups print server and have approximately 10 network printers around campus (some attached to LTSP terminals). That list is growing and it is confusing for some users to have to choose from so many printers, and some people (particularly administrators) are rightfully concerned about printing confidential documents to the wrong printer. Thanks in advance for any ideas, Derek -- Derek Dresser http://network.gouldacademy.org/ Gould Academy Bethel, ME 04217 (207)824-7700 "What is research but a blind date with knowledge?" --Will Harvey ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: YOU BE THE JUDGE.
