Hi Pete,

I have no solution but the same thing on another machine: Suse 9.1 and KDE on it. When you choose Logout, it will take a couple of seconds, depending on the speed of the client, until the logout request appears.

No idea what causes that, it is independent of LTSP but appears even if you log in to the server from another Linux machine via X.

Can somebody put some light on this issue please?

Got a K12LTSP (FC2 LTSP 4.1)
Running Gnome on the desktop and authenticating users against Novells NDS.
All goes well except at logout time there is a delay, the only thing I saw in my logs that could potentialy lead to a solution is this:

Sep 27 16:19:19 ltsp01 bonobo-activation-server (teststu-daniel-20319):iid OAFIID:BrokenNoType:20000808 has a NULL type
Sep 27 16:19:19 ltsp01 bonobo-activation-server (teststu-daniel-20319):invalid character '#' in iid 'OAFIID:This#!!%$iid%^$%_|~!OAFIID_ContainsBadChars'

What is bonobo-activation-server ?
Can this cause the delay?

Thanks

Peter
