I have been trying to share the files on a local USB device on the client so
that thru LTSP on the server they would be available. The performance and
reliability using linux 2.4 does not seem to be great (SMB frequently seems
to hand or not respond very well, using lufs+sshfs gives me chunks of a file
and then for 5/8 seconds nothing, KDE kioslaves sftp works but obviously apps
on the server that do not know what to do with such URLs, etc).

Has anyone else witnessed such problems ? (so that it may indicate problems
with my configuration)

Or has the use of Linux 2.6 improved USB and remote file mounting quite a
bit ?

Thanks
CPH

P.S. Anyone got a how-to or tgzs of 2.6 available to test?
