what should I look for if during execution the Etherboot ROM image, on a notebook with an tulip xircom card, the message: probing isa probing pci <sleep> appears repeately?
I know the server works correctly, as another computer works just fine as client. When booted differently the desktop can connect to other machines on the network. lspci results in 115d:0003 (rev03) for the network card, and this one is listed on rom-magic. I installed that particular image on a floppy, which is also executed by the notebook. I added the pcmcia card as possible boot device (but it was not listed as the first device). I don't have the ltsp_wireless package installed, as that seems to be for ltsp-3 and not for ltsp-4. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
