Ilkka,
in the lbe directory, create a subdirectory called 'packages'.
Then, run ./build_all
again, and it will skip past most of the packages, because they are
already done. Then, when it gets into the kernel, it should finish
properly.
But, this bug in the lbe has been fixed for quite a while.
I'm guessing that you don't have the latest lbe.
Try checking it out without a tag, to get the latest.
Which, btw, will build a 2.6.9 kernel and all the utilities that you
need for that kernel.
