Hi all, I just installed the 4.1.1 iso on a server. The install & everything else worked very well. The new 2.6 kernel is nice. I have a problem though. If i use the 2.4 kernel & try to use a usb drive on the client with hotplug=y & the local device setting in lts.conf i get a modprobe : cannot locate module udf on the servers tail -f /var/log/messages. CD's & floppy drives work fine. If i use the 2.6 kernel I get modprobe : fatal : failed to open config file /etc/modprobe.devfs no such file or directory. The same usb drive works well on the server though. Any help is much appreciated as the college students are asking for the usb pen drive to work. Also any idea how I can set up all the clients to have a link on the desktop to their own local devies like cd's & floppies? whithout assigning each one a fixed ip?
