I noticed that if
you `cat
/home/myuser/drives/cdrom`
or `less` it, the
terminal start
spinning the cdrom
and the content gets
displayed, so i
think it should be a
kind of
communication
problem between the
smbd and the
supermount on the
terminal, maybe smbd
has some cache
system that inhibits
you to direct access
the file... don't
know exactly,
sorry...
i'm trying this
solution: added the
extension .rdev to
the mountpoint
created by
terminal's
rc.localdev (so i
got
/tmp/drives/cdrom.rdev
exported by
terminal), added on
my server's file
manager (konqueror)
the mime type for it
that exec the
command `less %u`,
after the first
click the file
cdrom.rdev transorm
itself into a
directory and the
content is
displayed... not
always :(...
another solution is
to export directly
the
/tmp/drives/cdrom by
modification of
rc.localdev and
mount it, but in my
case is not good
because i whant all
the devices exported
including hotplugged
ones...
tryied with kernel
2.6, but found many
problems with
modprobe.devfs and
the hotplug
system... i'm
getting very very
frustrated by this
at the point that i
think ltsp is yet
very unripe

hope those things
get fixed soon

good work

veo
