Nvidia is the only known vendor that supports remote OpenGL acceleration - but remember, their drivers are NOT opensourced

Hi all,

Recently I was doing a small benchmarking test to find out which HW is best suitable as thin clients for our company. I was mainly focused on 2D performance as 3D is unfortunately out of question (no remote DRI).
Here are the results:

A member of the list reported that he has OpenGL working using NVidia drivers on the thin clients and has had excellent reports when running the Blender3D program. Maybe "remote DRI" isn't the only way to achieve your hope for 3D performance booting. I've also seen that ATI is putting effort into new beta drivers and an installer for it's Linux 3D support.
