I agree with the Two server idea.
But
One) Why make one server Windows?
Better yet make it a clone of the LTSP that can take over if the main server 
goes down.
Two) Why use Win4Lin hardware being cheap make this second server have scsi or 
fast sata drives that allow for multiple sessions of Windows in vmware to run 
without slowing it down?
Over all vmware is free Win4lin is not.
And it works well on linux, real well.
