I see a lot of messages about how to SSH to a terminal so I though I would share what I have done.

I needed a way to reboot or halt terminals from the server so I created this project that I call ltsp-remotectrl.

Here is the deb file.
http://canux.silicontao.com/deb/installer_cd2/dists/prospector/main/binary-i386/server/ltsp-remotectrl_0.0.2-2_i386.deb

It creates an SSH key pair that gets deployed to all terminals, a special user on the server that allows the terminals to register them selves with the server when they boot. This keeps some simple information about each terminal in a list so the root administrator on the server can can check to see if terminals are running, tell them to reboot or halt or even open a shell on the terminal.

I also have the scripts setup to report to the server if there is a printer connected to the terminal.

I make no claim that these will in any way work for you. I designed them to work with Canux Linux and it is still a work in progress.
