Can anyone think of a way to, through either DHCPD or DNS, get the terminals to boot from one of the two available systems and then fail over to the other? I am not expecting to be able to save the session. I want the terminal to be able to reboot from the available server or be directed, perhaps by round robin, to one of the two boot servers.
I am more of a hacker at heart, so I was thinking why not just have the other server that is failed over to ssh into the clients and restart them all? or maybe shutdown and restart some services.
