I have already asked this on the Ubuntu forums, with no replies as of
yet...I am running Ubuntu 6.10, LTSP 4.2u4 on this server.
How can I create an Icon or Launcher for a new user automatically?
For instance, our LTSP users have the option of logging into rdesktop
via an icon I have to make separately for each user. Before a new user
can access this rdesktop instance, I have to create an icon on their
desktop or explain to them how to do it.
Is there a way to do this via a script or without having to VNC to their
desktop, or possibly before they login the first time (before their
Desktop folder is created)?
Any help is much appreciated!
