hi sorry for posting this as a followup to a wrong thread.... so here the mail again.
i have problems with the HP Compaq t5125. i added it to DHCP and to lts.conf like any other LTSP-4.2 clients i have. it does boot the kernel, load the network driver and then: input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard as /class/input/input1 ((( NOW 1 MINUTE WAIT TIME ))) ERROR! dhcpcd failed! kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! on the server if i use ethereal (wireshark) to monitor traffic, i see the client doing DHCP requests 3 times before panicing. its always the same request, and always the server sends correct response. maybe ltsp-4.2 cannot receive ethernet packets, but only send them? (kernel problem) (linuxrc: loading via-rhine driver) (/lib/modules/2.6.17.8-ltsp-1/kernel/drivers/net/via-rhine.ko) with ltsp-4.1 everything works. cya! erik ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
