I've been using one as a LTSP terminal for a couple of days now. Audio support was available in 4.2. I'm running my display at 1280x1024x16.
The X server is noticeably slower on the MicroClient [MC] than the Diskless Workstation [DW] 150. The processor speed is 200MHz on the MC compared to 500+MHz on the DW 150. The base ram is the same, 128 Mb. The MC has a compact flash [CF] slot which I have been using booting puppylinux. We hope to be able to use these with the wireless interface for place terminals where we have wifi coverage and power but no ethernet. [cheap mobile wireless kiosk] I was unable to get the wireless interface running but I haven't spent much time on it yet. I suggest you buy an evaluation unit with the wireless interface and PuppyLinux on CF. It give you a lot of room for testing. It took 4 weeks (looked at a calendar) to receive my eval unit from overseas. Jason ----- Eric Holt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > These are a GREAT price.
