I'm assuming you're using ltsp-4.2. If so, then 2.6.18 isn't one of our kernels. We use 2.6.16. > Now I it is a problem with the ide-cdroms. You are incorrect, unless you've done something different. sputnik$ cd /opt/ltsp-4.2/i386/lib/udev/ sputnik$ ls -l ide_media -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 7644 Apr 3 2006 ide_media So, it's there on my installation of 4.2 So, at this point, not sure what you're doing.
