you are probably missing the glx module in your lts.conf file (since it 
is a CAD software, I assume it probably does some 3D opengl stuff). GLX 
is a X server extension for handling opengl stuff over the network.

However, you have to be careful about the hardware configuration on your 
thin client. Indeed, IIRC only nvidia video card with nvidia proprietary 
driver currently have support for hardware accelerated GLX (you might 
also get a SGI workstation, it will probably work I guess :-). If GLX is 
not hardware accelerated, your thin client will have a hard time 
rendering the 3D scene.
