I am a big time HP bigot. Once a week for a hour sounds like low
volume but will it get a lot of usage in that hour? Some of the
cheaper printers aren't really meant to output hundreds of pages in a
one hour burst but I don't think you can go wrong with HP. The only
thing to avoid from HP are the real cheap USB only models that have a
proprietary cable that is a bout the cost of a printer to replace (I
don't know if th make those any more).
In our institute we are using hp2200dn happily from 3-4 years. It is network
and duplex (back - to- back) printer. It is laser jet and we require to
change the toner once in a year. We had low volume printing. It works fine
from LTSP terminals. No issues. (Single person handling and original toner).
We also have classroom type setup.
