I've recently installed Ubuntu 7.04 and LTSP 4.2 on a server. All was
working great, no problems. I, then attempted to get sound up and
running like I have done many times before with success. However, this
installation is giving me trouble. I followed the Wiki regarding
enabling esd sound and ran the ltsp-sound script install.sh, seemed to
go fine. I had the user reboot their thin client and now when they try
to login in it kicks them back to the login screen every time. It seems
X is failing somewhere.

After some research I checked the xsession-errors for the users and
every user has this problem and all have the same error....

/etc/ltsp-sound.sh: 42: Syntax error: "(" unexpected (expecting "fi")

I double checked the /etc/ltsp-sound.sh file, I'm not seeing this rogue
"(" like it says, however, I may not be in full understanding of what
this message says.

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Chris

PS I apologize if this message gets posted more than once, this is the
third time I'm sending because the other two haven't seemed to go
through in 4 days.
