Correct surmise but wrong diagnosis. The hurt is likely to come from
RH9 rather than ltsp3/4 If your server o/d is updated to latest
hardware then running 3.x/4.x along side should still be good.

I think ltsp3.x/4.x is something that needs to co-exist with ltsp5.x
since the reuse of older hardware attraction is only possible with
3.x/4.x
